80 Souls on a Bus: A Journey of Energy, Awareness, and Choosing Your Path

 Yesterday, I took a bus from Punta del Este to Montevideo.

A simple two-hour ride.

Or so I thought.

As I sat in my seat waiting for everyone to board, I found myself quietly observing. One by one, people stepped onto the bus—different ages, different stories, different lives. And yet… there was something they all seemed to share.

A certain heaviness.

Some looked tired.
Some looked uncertain.
Some looked… disconnected.

A young man sat next to me, staring out the window the entire time, lost in his own world. Another sat in front of me reading a book, while someone beside him followed along with curiosity. I remember thinking, “Good for him.” Reading feeds the mind. It keeps us present. It protects us from drifting into dark, negative thoughts.

Some passengers slept.
Others scrolled.
Others simply… existed.

And me?

I sat there, present. Aware.

I texted my family, letting them know I was on my way. I felt excited. It was a beautiful day—the kind of day that reminds you how good life can feel when you allow it.

But inside my mind, something deeper was happening.

I began silently sending blessings.

To every single passenger.
To the driver.
To the journey itself.

And a question kept coming up:

Why do so many people look so disconnected from the gift of being alive?

Because that’s what it is—a gift.

Another day.
Another opportunity.
Another chance to reconnect, to grow, to meet someone new… or even rediscover yourself.

There were around 80 people on that bus.

80 different energies.
80 different mindsets.
80 different life stories.

And yet, for those two hours… we all chose the same path.
We shared the same space.
We shared energy—whether we realized it or not.

Then we arrived in Montevideo.

And just like that…

We all went our separate ways.

Strangers again.

I never saw a single one of them after that moment.

But for those two hours, we were connected.

🌎 A Year Ago, I Chose My Own Journey

Exactly one year ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life.

I left Canada and moved to Uruguay—the country where I was born.

That decision came with everything:

Uncertainty.
Pain.
Responsibility.
Growth.

But deep in my heart… I knew it was right.

Because sometimes, the life that’s waiting for you requires you to let go of the life you’ve known.

It takes courage to start over.
It takes awareness to admit that something no longer aligns.
And it takes strength to actually move.

Since being here, I’ve grown in ways I never imagined.

I’ve learned to let go.
To release attachment.
To rebuild from zero.

And most importantly…

I’ve learned to trust myself.

💭 The Truth About Change

Everyone wants change.

But very few people are willing to take the steps.

1. Becoming aware that something needs to change
2. Deciding that you want change
3. And the hardest part… taking action

That’s where most people stay stuck.

In fear.
In comfort.
In situations that no longer serve them.

But here’s the truth:

Your body knows.
Your heart knows.

So why ignore it?

Why stay where you feel drained, unfulfilled, or small?

Why continue choosing environments, people, or situations that don’t help you grow?

🌱 Choose Yourself

Learn to ask yourself:

• Do I want this for my life?
• How does this make me feel?
• Is this helping me grow?

And most importantly:

Am I choosing myself… or abandoning myself?

You don’t need permission to walk away.
You don’t need approval to change your life.

You just need honesty.

With yourself.

💫 Back to the Bus…

As the bus moved forward, I continued sending positive energy to every single person on board.

80 people.

80 lives.

80 silent battles I knew nothing about.

And all I could think was:

I hope they find their way.
I hope they find peace.
I hope they forgive themselves.
I hope they choose happiness.

And maybe…

Just maybe…

Someone on that bus felt it.

That quiet shift.
That unseen connection.
That moment of light.

We cross paths with people every single day.

Even if just for a moment.

Even if we never see them again.

And in those moments, we have a choice:

To stay closed…
Or to send light.

To stay disconnected…
Or to be present.

To stay stuck…
Or to grow.

So wherever you are right now…

On your own “bus” in life…

Choose awareness.
Choose growth.
Choose yourself.

Because your journey isn’t just about where you’re going.

It’s about who you become along the way.
