You Don’t Need the Whole Plan—You Need the Courage to Take the Next Step

Have you ever known that something in your life needed to change, but you stayed where you were because you couldn’t see the entire path ahead?

You wanted certainty.

A guarantee that everything would work out.

A clear plan showing you exactly what to do and when to do it.

I understand that feeling.

But one of the most important things life has taught me is this:

We don’t always receive the whole plan before we begin.

Sometimes we’re shown only the next step.

Waiting for Certainty Can Keep Us Stuck

We often tell ourselves:

I’ll move forward when I feel more confident.

I’ll make the decision when I know it’s the right one.

I’ll begin when I have everything figured out.

But complete certainty rarely comes.

Instead, we remain in jobs, relationships, routines, or circumstances we’ve outgrown because the familiar feels safer than the unknown.

We may not be happy, but at least we know what to expect.

The unknown asks us to trust ourselves.

And sometimes that is the part that scares us most.

I Didn’t Have the Whole Plan Either

When I left the security of a traditional 9–5 career to pursue coaching, I didn’t know exactly how everything would come together.

I knew I wanted meaningful work. I knew I wanted to use my personal-growth experience to help others create change in their lives.

But knowing why I wanted something didn’t mean I knew exactly how it would happen.

There were moments of uncertainty and times when progress felt much slower than I expected.

I had to build credibility, become visible, continue learning, and keep showing up even when the results weren’t immediate.

If I had waited until I had the entire plan, I might still be waiting.

What moved me forward wasn’t knowing every step.

It was having enough courage to take the one in front of me.

Confidence Often Comes After the Step

We tend to believe confidence must come first.

But confidence is often created through action.

You take one step and discover that you can handle it.

Then you take another.

You make a mistake and realize you can learn from it.

Something doesn’t work, so you adjust.

You begin collecting evidence that you’re more capable and resilient than you thought.

The path becomes clearer because you’re moving—not because you waited until every answer appeared.

Your Next Step Doesn’t Have to Be Dramatic

Taking the next step doesn’t always mean leaving your job, ending a relationship, moving to another country, or changing your entire life tomorrow.

Your next step may be:

Having an honest conversation.

Researching a new possibility.

Updating your resume.

Setting one boundary.

Asking for support.

Returning to something you once loved.

Writing down what you truly want.

Saying no to what no longer feels right.

A small step can still change your direction.

This Is Why I Created Elevare

I created my 6-Week Elevare Experience for women standing between one chapter and the next.

You may know you’re ready for something different but feel overwhelmed because you don’t know where to begin.

Together, we create clarity around where you are, what you want, and what may be holding you back. We work on confidence, limiting beliefs, meaningful goals, emotional resilience, boundaries, and intentional action.

You don’t need to arrive with the entire plan.

You only need to be willing to explore your next step.

If you’re ready to move from uncertainty toward greater clarity and confidence, DM me to learn more about the 6-Week Elevare Experience.

One Question for You

What is one step you already know you need to take—but keep postponing because you can’t see what comes after it?

Perhaps you don’t need another month of overthinking.

Perhaps you don’t need one more sign.

Perhaps you simply need to trust that when you take the next step, the one after it will become clearer.

You don’t need the whole plan.

You need the courage to begin.
