You’re Allowed to Outgrow the Life You Once Prayed For

There are moments in life when we look around and realize that something we once wanted deeply no longer feels right.

Perhaps you once prayed for the job you now feel ready to leave.

You once dreamed of the relationship that no longer feels aligned.

You worked hard to create a life that now feels too small for the woman you’ve become.

And then guilt appears.

Why am I not satisfied?

Shouldn’t I be more grateful?

How can I want something different after working so hard for this?

But gratitude and growth can exist at the same time.

You can appreciate what a chapter gave you and still know that it’s time to turn the page.

What You Wanted Then Wasn’t Wrong

The life you chose years ago may have been exactly what you needed at the time.

Perhaps you needed security.

Belonging.

Stability.

A sense of purpose.

A place to raise your family.

A relationship that taught you important lessons.

Those desires weren’t mistakes. They belonged to the woman you were then.

But life changes us.

We experience love, disappointment, success, loss, motherhood, career changes, moves, endings, and new beginnings.

We learn more about ourselves.

Our priorities shift.

What once felt like success may no longer feel meaningful.

That doesn’t make you ungrateful.

It makes you human.

I’ve Had to Give Myself Permission Too

There was a time when the security of a traditional 9–5 career mattered deeply to me.

It gave me structure, stability, and valuable experience.

But eventually, something inside me began asking for more meaningful work—work that allowed me to use my personal-growth journey and life experience to support others.

Leaving that familiar chapter wasn’t easy.

I had moments of doubt. Building my coaching path took longer than I imagined, and there were times when I questioned whether I had made the right decision.

But staying only because my old life had once been right for me would have meant ignoring the woman I was becoming.

I can appreciate the security that chapter gave me while also recognizing that I was ready for something different.

Honoring your past doesn’t require you to remain there.

Outgrowing Something Doesn’t Erase Its Value

A relationship can have been meaningful even if it didn’t last forever.

A career can have served you even if you’re ready to change direction.

A home or country can have held beautiful memories even if you feel called somewhere else.

A role can have shaped your identity even if it no longer defines you.

Not everything meaningful is meant to remain unchanged.

Some chapters teach us.

Some protect us.

Some prepare us.

And some eventually ask us to let go.

Give Yourself Permission to Want Something New

You don’t need to criticize your old life to justify creating a new one.

You don’t need a dramatic reason.

Sometimes it’s enough to admit:

This was right for me once, but it isn’t right for me anymore.

That honesty isn’t selfish.

It’s the beginning of clarity.

Ask yourself:

What am I holding on to because I still want it—and what am I holding on to because I feel guilty letting it go?

Your answer may reveal where your next chapter is trying to begin.

This Is Why I Created Elevare

I created my 6-Week Elevare Experience for women who feel caught between gratitude for the life they’ve lived and a growing desire for something more.

Together, we explore what has changed, what you truly want now, and which beliefs or expectations may be keeping you connected to a chapter you’ve outgrown.

We work on clarity, confidence, boundaries, resilience, meaningful goals, and intentional action.

You don’t need to reject your past to move forward.

You only need to give yourself permission to listen to who you are today.

If you’re ready to explore what your next chapter could look like, DM me to learn more about the 6-Week Elevare Experience.

You’re allowed to change your mind.

You’re allowed to want something different.

You’re allowed to appreciate what was and still choose what’s next.

And you’re allowed to outgrow the life you once prayed for.
